Welcome to INFO 102! I hope that you find this course to be rewarding.
This is considered to be an online course. However, feel free to meet me in person. I am available in the SSC Library many hours per week.
The course is self-paced. There are no specific assignment due dates aside from the end of the quarter deadline. Of course, avoid procrastination.
I am mindful that this is a one credit class, so expect no more than 3 hrs of work each week.
For now, you can reach me in my office at 206.934.6405, or at the SSC Reference Desk 206.934.6408.
My email address is rnelson@southseattle.edu
Assignments and course material will be delivered via posts in this blog. You are also empowered to post in the blog.
Assignments can be sent to me as emails. It is also possible to turn in assignments in person. You could also very easily create your own blog, where you post material. If you don't mind sharing info
with your asynchronous classmates, you may also post within the blog.
There is a textbook: William Badke, Research strategies : finding your way through the information fog, 5th edition or 6th edition. There are copies at the South Seattle College Library Reserve Desk. These can be borrowed for the entire quarter.
