The end goal of higher education is ultimately about evidence-based research. This course helps get you started at the bottom rung of this process. Of course, there is much, such as language learning, sports, professional education and more that goes on in Academia.
I would also like to point out that many of my favorite professors and instructors are among those who washed out in the tenure process or were hired only for short terms.
I myself have tenure.
